Cecilia has been working with children and adolescents, using play therapy, sand tray therapy and art therapy. Cecilia has experience working with the parents of her clients, involving the family in order to bring about change for the child. This work evolves often into parenting and couples' issues, particularly when the child is manifesting symptoms the family system has produced such as depression, anxiety and poor school performance. Her work at Parenting Plus Child and Family Counseling has involved co-parenting in cases of separation to high conflict divorce. Her present work with children and adolescent always has a family component. High conflict co-parenting is a specialty.

Cecilia is a member of CAMFT (California Association for Marriage and Family Therapy), A4PT (Association for Play Therapy), and AFCC (Association of Family and Conciliation Courts).
